Classes We Offer

All courses which offer cards are for two-years of certification through the American Heart Association.

Health Care Provider - $68 day or $78 evenings/weekends which includes book and card

This course teaches healthcare professionals how to perform CPR, use the AED, and relieve a foreign body airway obstruction for adults, children, and infants. It also includes using the bag mask to ventilate victims.

This course is for healthcare professionals who have completed the healthcare provider course within the last two years. Participants will take part one of the course on-line, complete the 12 check points, complete the exam with a score of 84% or higher, and print out the certificate of completion. Contact Community CPR Classes to arrange for part two – skills testing and bring along the certificate of completion.

HC Provider Renewal Course - $64 day or $69 evenings/weekends includes card

This course is for healthcare professionals who have completed the healthcare provider course within the last two years. Participants should be ready to perform the skills and take the written examination.

 

HeartSaver AED (Adult & Child**) - $53 day $58 evenings/weekends includes book and card

**May include Infant CPR with Mask and Choking - $63 day or $68 evenings/weekends

This course teaches the public (non healthcare professionals) how to perform CPR, use the AED, and relieve a foreign body airway obstruction for adults, children, and infants. It also includes using the pocket mask to provide breaths to victims. Recommended for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

 

Family & Friends CPR - $29** includes book and non credentialing, card.

**May include Infant CPR and Choking - $38

The Family & Friends CPR program teaches how to perform CPR in adults, children, and infants and how to help an adult, child, or infant who is choking. Recommended for family members, friends, and members of the general community who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card. A good option for middle and high school students.

Family & Friends (F&F) with First Aid for Children – $29 includes book and non credentialing, card.

This program teaches how to manage illness and injuries in a child for the first few minutes until professional help arrives. It covers such topics as preventing injuries, recognizing and treating basic first aid emergencies, and relief of choking in infants and children. Recommended for those caring for infants and children, such as family members, babysitters, and others providing in-home care, who want basic first aid information but who do not need a course completion credential.

 

Heartsaver First Aid, CPR/AED (Adult and Child**) - $83 day or $88 evenings/weekends includes book and card

**May include infant CPR with mask - $88 day or $92 evenings/weekends

Heartsaver First Aid teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies. Topics include CPR and AED, and Environmental Emergencies. Recommended for businesses which need to meet regulatory requirements (ex. Security Team).

Heartsaver First Aid Course - $58 includes book & card

First Aid teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED (Adult & Child**) - $84 includes book, CD, and card

**May include infant CPR with mask - $89

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid teaches how to manage illness and injuries in a child in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Topics include First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies, Optional First Aid Topics, and CPR and AED. Recommended for Day Care Centers and in-home day care licensing; teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors and coaches.
